Frequently Asked Questions
If you’re considering dog walking in Philadelphia, you probably have a few questions. Below are answers to the things dog owners ask us most often about scheduling walks, safety, weather, and how our team cares for your dog. If you still have a question, Contact us!
When we survey our clients, one of the things they consistently say they love about our company is our post-walk Visit Reports and photos. So you can look forward to receiving a bit of joy each day via an app notification once your walk is completed.
Along with sending adorable photos and walk recaps, our scheduling and tracking app allows our daily manager to monitor the schedule in real-time so we know exactly where Minders are throughout the day. This assures our clients that no monster is left behind.
Clients can also request schedule modifications, view invoices, view their upcoming schedule, and update their dog's daily routine via our cloud scheduling system and app. Ready to get your daily visit reports (and adorable photos?) Get started today!
Here at The Monster Minders, we do not think time off for our employees is luxury, it's a necessity! Our employees are pet care professionals and we treat them as such. That is why we proudly offer our employees Paid Time off. So what happens when your Minder needs time off? Another fabulous employee will jump in. We never leave clients in a lurch!
It's always a great idea to keep your online file up-to-date in case another Minder has to jump in at the last minute due to sickness. Our app makes this easy! And of course, a manager is on duty at all times during walking hours for feedback, support and questions.
We use simple weekly autopay to keep things easy for everyone. Clients are billed on Mondays for the previous week’s walks, so there’s no need to remember invoices or due dates.
Payments are processed through automated ACH, which makes everything seamless and secure. You’ll receive a confirmation before each billing date so there are never any surprises.
Clients can also log into their account anytime to view past invoices, check payment history, tip their favorite Minders, or update their payment details.
Don’t worry, we won’t melt. We all have all-weather gear for rainy, cold, and snowy days. If your dog has strong feelings about inclement weather, we’ll just go out for a quick potty break and spend the rest of the time playing inside. In extreme weather, such as heat waves, snowstorms, or thunderstorms, services may be modified for the safety of everyone involved.
Since 2005, we have dealt with hurricanes, blizzards, and even the Pope. (Remember when the Pope shut the City down?) We have the experience to handle things when nature (or the Vatican) sends us curveballs.
During your meet and greet, we’ll talk through the best way for our team to access your home safely. Many clients use keyless entry systems or lockboxes for convenience and security, though we can also securely hold a key if that works better for you.
Our walkers are employees of The Monster Minders and background checked, bonded and insured.
We offer several walk lengths so you can choose what works best for your dog and your routine. Most clients choose between 20, 30, or 60 minute visits depending on their dog’s energy level, age, and needs.
During that time, your Minder will focus on giving your dog a proper walk, a bathroom break, and some one-on-one attention. Some dogs are all about covering ground, while others prefer a slower stroll with plenty of sniffing along the way.
If you're not sure which option is best, we’re always happy to talk it through during your meet & greet and help you choose the right fit for your dog. You can check out more information about our various services here.
Making changes is easy with our client app. You can add walks, cancel visits, or update your schedule anytime right from your account.
The app also lets you manage your dog’s care information, update notes about routines or preferences, view past visit reports, and keep everything about your dog in one place.
If you ever need help or have a special request, our managers are always happy to assist. But for most day-to-day updates, clients find the app makes managing their dog’s schedule quick and simple.
