The holidays hit differently when you share them with a pup. There is something about a dog in a festive bandana sitting next to Santa that makes the entire season feel a little more magical. If you are looking to grab a holiday photo of your dog with the big guy in red, Philadelphia has some truly wonderful Santa Paws events happening in 2025. We pulled together our three favorite options, including one especially close to our hearts.
Dec 6 + 7th - Street Tails Animal Rescue Santa Paws
Street Tails is hosting their beloved Santa Paws fundraiser again this year and it is one of the sweetest events in the city. Held at their Northern Liberties rescue space, this two-day event lets pups pose with Santa for a festive photo while helping support the rescue’s lifesaving work. (And we know "Santa" at Street Tails - we give Guillermo two paws up! He is honestly one of the nicest humans in Philadelphia.) The entire vibe is joyful, spirited and full of happy dogs who absolutely steal the show in their holiday gear.
Event details:
Dates: December 6 and 7 (be sure to reserve your time slot!)
Time: 12 to 4 PM
Location: Street Tails Animal Rescue
This event holds a special place in our hearts because it is Tui’s rescue. (Of course we went and updated this post with our silly photos!)

Dec 6 - Pet Friendly Dog Bakery Santa Paws
While it's not in our service area, and further out in Manayunk, The Pet Friendly Dog Bakery is teaming up with @Pawtraitpop up to bring Santa to Manayunk! Proceeds from an on-site raffle will benefit City of Elderly Love! Follow the bakery on instagram for more details and how to sign up!
Event details:
Dates: December 6
Location: Pet Friendly Dog Bakery, 4324 Main Street
Dec 6th - Seger Dog Park Santa Paws
Seger Dog Park’s Santa Paws celebration is a longtime community favorite and perfect for city pups who love being the center of attention. Held outdoors with lots of space to sniff and explore, this event brings in a photographer, a Santa with genuine dog-loving energy and plenty of opportunities for your pup to shine in their holiday best.
Event details
Date: Dec 6th
Time: 1-3PM
Location: Seger Dog Park, 1001 Rodman Street
Details: $10 donation will go to a local rescue

It is a relaxed, neighborhood-driven event that feels very “Philly.” If your dog thrives in a casual, low-stress setting, this is a perfect spot to get that festive snapshot.

Dec 20th - Santa Paws at Winter in Franklin Square
If you want a full night out with your pup, Franklin Square’s holiday festival is a great pick. Their “Jingle and Mingle” event includes lights, treats, mini golf and a special photo opportunity where pets can meet Santa. The atmosphere is lively and beautifully decorated, which makes for some truly magical pictures.
Event details
Date: December 20
Time: 5 to 7 PM
Location: Franklin Square, 200 North 6th Street
More info here.
This event offers more than just a photo. It is a chance to enjoy a festive evening with your pup while soaking up one of Philly’s most charming winter traditions.
Dec 21st - PAWS Portraits with Santa at Philadelphia Distilling
PAWS (Philadelphia Animal Welfare Society) will be hosting a Santa session featuring a pet food drive to support pets in need. The event will take place on Philadelphia Distilling's heated and enclosed patio. Please bring an item from PAWS wish list: wet kitten food, soft dog treats, paper towels and dry dog or cat food for your complimentary photo with Santa!

Tips for a Smooth Santa Paws Experience
Bring your pup a little early
A short walk beforehand helps pups settle and puts them in their best picture-taking mood.
Pack a favorite treat. (Great for getting those adorable ears-up expressions.)
Dress them in something comfortable. (A holiday bandana, bow tie or collar charm is often enough and still looks adorable.)
And if you're a dog walking client of ours (or even if you aren't) share the cute photos with anyone and everyone!
