This past week we checked out Woofstock and enjoyed music while our dog played with friends at Seger Dog Park. Hosted every Tuesday evening from May through September, Woofstock is a free outdoor concert series held right outside the fence of Seger Dog Park. Music kicks off around 5:30 PM and runs until 7 PM.

Dog owners are invited to let their pups enjoy some off-leash play in the dog park while they settle in for live music performed by local bands, ranging from folk and jazz to Latin fusion and indie rock.
Where It All Happens
📍 Seger Dog Park:
1001 Rodman Street, Philadelphia
Tucked between quiet trees and city blocks, Seger Park is an urban oasis with a dedicated dog park that’s thoughtfully maintained by a passionate group of volunteers and dog lovers.
Who Makes It Happen?
Woofstock is made possible by the Seger Park Dog Owners Association (SPDOA), a 501(c)(3) nonprofit committed to the upkeep, improvement, and community programming of the dog run at Seger Park.
This all-volunteer group keeps the park looking great year-round while creating a welcoming space for Philadelphia’s canine and human community. They also organize special events like Woofstock to raise funds, promote local artists, and connect neighbors over their shared love of dogs.
In addition to concerts, the SPDOA offers:
Membership options for regular park users
“Buy-a-Brick” fundraising for park improvements
Volunteer opportunities and event partnerships
Ongoing maintenance, clean-ups, and landscaping efforts
Their work is supported in collaboration with the Seger Park Advisory Council and Philadelphia Parks & Recreation, making it a truly community-driven initiative.
Tips for First-Time Visitors
Make sure your pup is licensed, vaccinated, and social / comfortable with dog parks
Mind the double-gates at the dog park - verbally check with other dog owners if coming/going at the same time.
