BBQing with the Humans Behind the Walks

Dog walking is a funny kind of team job. We are all working together every day for the same cause (happy monsters), but most of the time, our Minders are scattered across the city, caring for dogs in different neighborhoods and occasionally waving to each other as they pass on the sidewalk. There is some overlap, but to call this job "social" would be a stretch.

That is why we love finding an excuse to get everyone in the same place. This week, we gathered for a barbecue in our community garden, where we ate good food and chatted into the early evening. (We won't mention that Lindsay burned the first round of veggie burgers. Charcoal BBQs can be fickle things.)

When a client receives a photo or reads a Visit Report on their phone, they are seeing one small part of the work our team does each day. Behind those walks is a group of people who care deeply about getting the details right, keeping dogs safe, and making sure our clients can go about their days without worrying about what is happening at home.

We are incredibly grateful for the people who do that work, our Minders. It's always nice to slow down for an evening and take care of them a little, too.

Thanks to everyone who joined us, and to every member of our team who helps make The Monster Minders what it is. We are very lucky to have such good humans behind all those very good dogs.
