Here’s how you can make your monster the luckiest dog around with some fun games and activities.

Chase Away Bad Luck with a Good Jaunt 🏃‍♂️🐕

We are experts as this and can say without a shred of doubt, that tired dog is a happy dog! Regular walks, hikes, jogs, or playful romps at your favorite Philly dog park keep your dog feeling their best. Similar to the effects on humans, movement releases endorphins (the happy chemicals) and helps prevent mischief and boredom.

Fetch Your Fortune 🎾

A simple game of fetch isn’t just fun—it also keeps your dog’s mind and body engaged. Turn it into a lucky game by using different colored balls and letting your pup pick one. Assign a fun “fortune” to each color (like extra belly rubs, a treat, or a surprise toy) and see what your dog chooses! (Ok, ok, we realized this is a stretch, but who doesn't love a game of chance?)

Hide-and-Treat for Good Luck 🍖🔍

At The Monster Minders, we LOVE enrichment / sniffing games. For a quick and easy game, hide a few treats around your home and let your dog go on a treasure hunt. (We like letting them sniff the treat first and then having them practice impulse control with a long "sit" while we hide treats.) Sniffing and searching for treats is extremely mentally stimulating for dogs. (It's also an incredible way to provide enrichment when the weather outside isn't the best!)

Cuddle Time 💕

Sometimes, luck is just about feeling loved and happy. Take time every day to give your pup belly rubs, ear scratches, and kind words. And never hesitate to flash your dog a smile.
